0 commentsI've never joined a guild in World of Warcraft because I'm just a casual player, without the possibility to join every planned raid that guilds usually do. So, I just go to 1-2 halves of raids every week-end when I can, but you know how PUGs are. Efficiency rate is crappy and most of the times the leader steals the loot. So, I decided to start my own guild and run my own raids and for each and every run to go smoothly, I started to work with a WoW raid guide. This guide covers pretty much all the WoW raiding content, and here are a few important things I've learned for becoming a good raider.
WoW Raid Guide - Tips For Assembling And Running A Successful WoW Raid
Make sure you get experienced tanks and healers. If you know that you are going to run a raid at a certain date, you can even make a calendar invite 1-2 days before, to the tanks and healers that you know. DPS usually grows on trees so don't worry about damage dealers, you'll find good ones for sure.
Everyone you invite must have good knowledge of their toons and the of the strategies for each boss for the instance you're about to do. To be sure of that, always ask for their achievements.
Consumables are very important for a raid so tell your raiding team to get their flasks and foods before starting. Also remind the players to have their WoW raiding addons updated. This will certainly reduce the individual failing rate during a boss encounter.

Know your spells and skills rotations. Concentrate on respecting your rotations strictly to maintain a good DPS if you're a damage dealer, to keep up an 100% aggro if you're tanking or to keep your assigned target alive if being a healer.
Have at least an idea of the tactics your raid is going to apply for each encounter. If you don't know what to do, a single wrong step might wipe the whole raid. Luckily, this guide has this aspect covered so I had nothing to worry about in any end game raid.
