It's not hard to escape aggro if you get too many mobs since the area is pretty wide and there aren't many obstacles.
Although the grinding spots I mentioned above are excellent to grind for XP, as a general idea, grinding is not exactly the best alternative to leveling in Lord of the Rings Online.
